Christina & Wayne’s Pippin Hill Wedding

Bride and Groom Portraits

Christina and Wayne’s Pippin Hill Farm wedding was the perfect way to spend a Friday afternoon. Rain on the horizon didn’t stop this beautiful couple from having the time of their lives, and we’d like to think as a result the storms stayed away! Their ceremony took place outdoors as planned by Cody of Amore Events and was beautifully decorated with fresh summer florals from Amy Webb of Blue Ridge Floral Design. The fog rolling off the Blue Ridge mountains was a breathtaking addition to an already amazing view proving that sometimes the best things can’t be planned!

Christina and Wayne also brought some fun elements into their big day that had an Americana flair. Some of my favorite details were Christina’s cowboy boots (which were certainly made for dancing) and the Wayne’s candy-colored bow tie! You’ll also see Christina, her bridesmaids and the flower girl all wearing dresses that are fit for twirling which made for some whimsical pictures!

Ultimately what was most important to this happy couple was spending the day with their families in one place and celebrating together. Thanks to lots of hard work by everyone involved this was possible and we are so thrilled to have been a part of such a special day! Enjoy looking through some of our favorite pictures from Christina and Wayne’s Pippin Hill wedding and be sure to keep an eye out for part 2 tomorrow!

Pink Ribbon Polo Classic at King Family Vineyards this Father’s Day!

father and daughter portraits in charlottesville

We count it among one of our core values at Aaron Watson Photography to give back to the Charlottesville community and help support great causes! We are honored to be a sponsor for the second year in a row of the Pink Ribbon Polo Classic at King Family Vineyards! The event takes place on Father’s Day each year and will raise awareness and funding toward breast cancer research as well as provide free screening to many women in our area. Proceeds for the event go to the Virginia Breast Cancer Foundation and Every Woman’s Life.

This year we are going even further though! To celebrate Father’s Day and Pink Ribbon Polo, THIS WEEK ONLY we are offering family portrait sessions for $95 and including an 8×10 photograph as well as a $50 Wall Portrait Credit (that is a value of over $300!) … AND for each portrait session sold this week we will add $50 to our yearly donation to the PRPC event!! Call 434.202.8031 (or email info@aaronwatsonphoto.com) by June 14th to reserve your session date and help us raise more money and awareness for this great cause and event!

We hope that you will join us this coming Sunday at King Family Vineyards, and be sure to come by our tent to say hello! Happy Father’s Day and thank you again for your support!

Melissa & Shane’s Reception at Trump Winery in Charlottesville, VA – Part 2

Bride and groom under veil

Continuing the celebrating from yesterday’s post, we are excited to share part 2 of Melissa and Shane’s Wedding! Their Reception at Trump Winery was an energetic and fun party filled with lots of dancing and memorable moments including the ring bearer catching the garter (keep in mind he is one of the smallest people attending the wedding!).

Aaron also had a chance to take Melissa and Shane out into the vineyard for some additional evening portraits. The wind cooperated perfectly and created an opportunity for some stunning pictures with Melissa and Shane underneath her veil. We also love the creative “hidden” details Melissa incorporated into her wardrobe especially the blue “I Do” on the bottom of her shoes!

The reception was beautifully decorated with florals from Everlasting Flowers and Jeff King of Superlative Events kept the music going long into the evening! When it was time to enter, the bridal party and family entered in style, each with their own creative dance moves. This certainly started the evening off on the right foot (pun intended)! We hope you enjoy looking through more of Melissa and Shane’s pictures and getting a taste of their celebration!
