Persian Wedding Traditions | Mount Ida Farm

We had a blast photographing Jackie & Nate’s modern Persian wedding. While their wedding had all the elements of a traditional wedding, it also included some special Persian wedding traditions! The Sofreh Aghd tradition is usually incorporated into the wedding ceremony, but we love how Jackie & Nate included it in their wedding reception at Mount Ida Farm! The Sofreh Aghd is one of our favorite Persian wedding traditions and is comprised of an elaborate spread of items symbolic of good fortune for the newlyweds as well as represents different elements of marriage.

Additionally, one of the things we love about Jackie & Nate is that you can instantly see how in love they are when they’re together. As wedding photographers, we love when couples aren’t afraid to show their affection for one another in front of the camera. This really makes our job as wedding photographers easy and allows us to capture the most naturally romantic wedding photos. We love capturing those natural wedding moments! One of our favorite romantic wedding moments from Jackie & Nate’s wedding was the moment Nate saw his beautiful bride for the first time, during their first look under the gazebo at Mount Ida Farm! It was incredibly heartwarming!

Jackie & Nate had all the classic elements for a beautiful November wedding at Mount Ida Farm! The magical fall lighting complimented Jackie & Nate’s evening outdoor wedding ceremony. And, Jackie looked so cozy in her pretty blush pink bridal shawl. A bridal shawl is the perfect winter wedding accessory for any winter bride!
