Haley and Jacob had the perfect mountaintop wedding at Montalto overlooking Thomas Jefferson's historic Monticello. A Montalto wedding is highly regarded as one of the most exclusive wedding venues in Virginia. It is sought after not only due to the breathtaking panoramic views of Charlottesville, and the Blue Ridge Mountains, but also because is the only mountaintop overlooking Thomas Jefferson's Monticello. Incorporating this iconic landmark into the photos adds a touch of historical significance and cultural richness.
For Haley & Jacob, Montalto is very sentimental to them due to her family's involvement with Monticello, and they enjoyed many special moments atop Montalto together. The raw emotions, and breathtaking scenery, is evident in their wedding photos and together created some of my favorite pictures from their wedding day. I loved the pure emotion when Jacob saw Haley for the first time walking down that aisle, and during the ceremony as they read their vows. Thankfully the rain held off until right after their ceremony when it came pouring down. Of course, the saying is rain is good luck on your wedding day, and that rang true when the sun came out creating the most amazing rainbow!
The views of the Blue Ridge Mountains and Charlottesville landscape continued to get better after the rain cleared, creating some breathtaking wedding photos. One of my favorite Montalto wedding photos is peeking over Haley and Jacob for a beautiful landscape portrait of Monticello. Then as we walked back from the overlook, wispy clouds surrounded the mountain creating a surreal portrait of the couple walking on the road! Later, the sun peaking through the rain clouds, created the most gorgeous sunset photos overlooking the mountains in the background.
